Youth Ministry

Join Us in Welcoming Megan Percy, our new Youth Director

Megan.jpg

Here is a little information she wrote about herself...

I am from…

Ripon, Wisconsin. Yes, home of the cheese heads and Ripon Good Cookies.

I went to college at…

Taylor University in the cornfields of Upland, Indiana. I majored in Christian Educational Ministries with minors in Bible and Youth Ministry.

I am currently…

Working towards a Masters of Divinity with a concentration in Youth Leadership at Bethel Seminary.

I like to…

Meet friends for coffee, spend time with my family, play ultimate Frisbee (especially at night), four square, cards, and board games, go running, cook, scrapbook, write, go shopping, eat at Noodles and Co., watch movies (especially Disney Pixar), and go camping (campfires are the best!).

My family includes…

my dad and mom, my sister Emily who is a sophomore in college, and my brother David who is a senior in high school. I also love hanging out with my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A hidden talent is…

limbo. I am strangely flexible.

One of my life dreams is to…

go to the Olympic Games. (as a spectator)

A favorite verse is…

“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering…fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out.” (Romans 12:1-2 The Message)

Operation Christmas Child.

Feed My Starving Children.

Tree House.  A program of Family Hope Services.

Mission Nursing Home.  Since 2004, Pilgrim Church has been privileged to provide Sunday afternoon services for Mission Nursing Home which is located just a few blocks from our church (3401 East Medicine Lake Blvd.).  It takes place at 4 PM every Sunday year round. What a joy to share the Word of God and the familiar hymns they so love to sing! We go in small teams, someone to share a short message of 10 minutes or so, someone to play either piano, keyboard, or guitar, and others to help visit and pray with the people. We've been asked to pray for everything from marriages, to alcoholism, back problems, and reconciliation between family members. It's been wonderful ministry not only for them, but for us. At this point about 13 different people are committed to going once a month. We have several Sundays that could really benefit from bigger teams.

We also have formal events throughout each month. Contact our church office at  office@pilgrimumc.org for a copy of our calendar and Pilgrims Progress Newsletter or download them here.

Our church is also used for a variety of community meetings:

                Local  Alanon Chapter

                Boy Scout Troops

                Community Clubs

                School Functions
